I face a conundrum. I want to get art of some of my monster girl OCs in “traditional clothing.” Already got a reference for Serena, but I’m not sure which path for Ryouhi. Dullahans are often depicted as knights, but she’s also Japanese. So does she wear samurai armor, or European armor? 🤔

Id say that European style medieval armour would be better because of this and the origin of the myth. Also, I don’t really see how traditional samurai armour could be reworked to fit her… proportions

Maybe spin off of that idea and do a kunoichi? Geisha played a big part in war times too.

Take the Sekiro route. Literally a dude in "Japan" with full "European" plate and a Greatsword. Maybe make it more on theme with her heritage, so more Japanese looking plate?
