I was playing Star Wars Jedi Academy online multiplayer and kept killing one guy. I saw a chat message in German from him with my username in it. When translated it read "Have you ever donated a liter of blood through your nose?"

My main laptop is out of commission for a bit so I'm using this old one I dug out of storage. It's a 17 year old Dell Latitude e6400 with a core 2 duo and 3 gigs of ram running the latest debian. Honestly I've had way worse times with way newer computers.

I've seen "offline kits" with dedicated cameras, books, & iPods & it's a neat idea. You can save some money by using an old phone with no internet connection. This 10 year old phone is too terrible to do more than play music but I don't need it to. It even has Bluetooth & a headphone jack.

I finally managed to fall asleep around noon and slept for 5 hours. It was not good rest. All evening I felt like a train hit me. Worth it for the "authentic" Taco Bell meal though.

Double update: Important to note about 2 years ago I nearly completely cut caffeine out of my diet. If I have more than a very small amount I end up feeling awful. Friends the amount of Baja blast I drank had almost twice as much caffeine as a red bull. Today should be fun™.

Fun fact for anyone who plays #DeadbyDaylight The pocket entity charm was designed by my sister for a contest. She found and sent me her initial sketches. She wanted to call it the Enti-tchi (entity+tamagotchi) but they said she had to change it for legal reasons.

The 3DS is the ideal form factor for a portable game system. I don't know why we abandoned it for the unpocketable slabs we have now. Imagine this design with a high res screen and at least a modern smartphone SoC. Even if you only had one screen with just the controls on the bottom it'd be great.

The real kicker? The version shown IS from the Play Store. I used a tool called apkeep to download the apk directly from the Play Store. It's not because I'm on a custom ROM, I have a tablet that installed it just fine. It's not because of root, it was "incompatible" before I did that. Stupidity.

I am infuriated with Google. I wanted to install eBay from the Google Play store but for some arbitrary reason it is listed as incompatible with my phone (Pixel 3a running Android 15). That claim is total BS because I sideloaded it months ago and it's worked fine. Now they're pulling this...
