I like onion and a well-cooked mushroom but I am the same with cherry tomatoes. I hate those little snot bombs in my mouth

It’s forever fuck Mac N Cheese and Coconut anything due to the textures. Same with any kind of Casserole

Ugh, coconut. I hate everything about coconut. Texture, flavor, smell, it's a "cant ever" food.

I can't stand sliced tomatoes, but dice those suckers up and I'll eat them on anything.

I can’t even eat a whole banana before the texture starts to gross me out. Sliced meats get me too. Love both of them flavor-wise but if one weird texture adjective pops into my head I lose my appetite wholly.

These are far less terrible than your mushroom and onions stance, at least you got the good ones correct (pickles, tomatoes)

Bell peppers are the lowest common denominator of peppers.

Ok you have to stop. I have long had the theory that you are just a version of me that moved up north and this is not helping.

The thing about pickles is they should be cold and crunchy. I *cannot fathom* how people eat hot, soggy pickle slices on burgers or chicken sandwiches. Vile

Fucking bell peppers. Other peppers have flavor hidden behind some heat. Bell peppers? No heat and a weird sour-ish aftertaste.

All 5 of these are on point though I do like mushrooms. For me it is crunch and bitter. No thank you to either. Boil my carrots please.

okay this is a *way* better set of takes than onions/mushrooms. cucumbers are just raw pickles

With the exception of pickles, you and my bf have exactly the same likes and dislikes! Can I send him to eat at your house so I can cook things that I like?

I don't put this on you specifically, the internet has just taught me that Americans as a culture seem prone to baffling vegetable opinions and I forgive all of you for it.

Pickles and tomatoes but no mushrooms? Fascinating

you are 100% correct about mushrooms, eggplants, and pickles.
cucumbers and bell peppers are inoffensive but I wouldn't miss them.
Tomatos should only exist to be salsa, marinara, catsup, or thoroughly pureed soup. anyone who puts a raw tomato on my salad or sandwich can burn in hell.

Texture is the reason why I hate celery

celery is crunchy water with strings in it

Tomatoes are gross because of the texture, the flavour is excellent.

I feel this so much, like I love things made from tomatoes (like sauces and such), but I cannot eat actual tomatoes, even cooked pieces.

I feel this so hard. There are so many vegetables that are a sensory nightmare that I wish I liked.

Many vegetables also taste awful to me as I'm incredibly sensitive to bitter tasting things and a lot of vegetables are naturally bitter or absorb bitter-tasting things in their moisture.

I also hate the texture of onions, but find the flavor to be worth it these days.

Mushroom textures I understand, but cooked onion texture is so innocuous. If you dice them, they basically melt into a dish.

I find it wild when people cant grasp why a food texture would put me off a food. It's... gross? Are you not thinking about your food?

It also makes me crazy if I make something wrong. I undercooked some ramen and made myself power through it because I was on my work lunch... texture nightmare.

I'm the same way with avocados. Green and squishy?!?
Ugh, no thank you.
Tofu hits the same way. The texture weirds me out unless it's diced really fine.
