Where are the privacy settings on this app? As soon as I created my account, bots quickly joined in. I want to get rid of them. I have not created any posts as a result of this security risk. I'm strongly considering closing the account and leaving Bluesky altogether. I want my account private.

I'm having a very similar issue, 162 followers, zero post except replies to others, and I can't see anyone who is following me. I'm also getting followed by 10-15 bot accounts daily that I block as soon as I notice.

No I follow a variety of accounts; nature, photography, animals, political. I still get followed by bots and people I would not like to be associated with. I teach young children and for my personal safety do not want association with any "working" accounts.

Bluesky is OPEN - you can't really have a private account.

Security Settings are in "Settings" - you can control / filter A LOT of what you see & how people interact with you (block anyone you like), however anyone can see what you post (except in private DMs) - thats the nature of this beast.

Sadly, I ended up re-joining Facebook, several months after deleting it and joining Bluesky.

The functionality there is so much better for posting and editing posts.

I was hopeful Bluesky would evolve in this functionality , but sadly, no.

I have a request of feature change. When you post something as it is now someone that has blocked you can see your posts, write bullshit in reply to your post and you don’t see it. It should be changed to when blocked neither party can see the content of the other.

A bit of feedback on the Discover feed: it absolutely did not work for me. Despite repeatedly pressing the 'show less' button, it kept bombarding me with unwanted content. I belatedly realised I could turn off the feed, but not before I'd liberally blocked.
