They just played the Bare Naked Ladies on bar music trivia and the reactions of the trivia players makes me feel like I’m too old to be here

My wife is making her regular calls to our elected senators and it’s crazy to think that a Josh Hawley is somehow our least bad senator

Man. I’m old enough to remember POTUS bragging about $2 gas’s prices and the stock market over 50,000 (dollars or something). That was 3 weeks ago during the state of the union.

It’s amazing that given tariffs, Epstein, Iraq, corruption, violating court orders, etc that 1/2 of congress has looked at the dramatic blue wave and thought “yeah, I’m going down on this ship”

We're at war with Iran
And Ecuador
The DOJ is hiding information about POTUS's involvement with a sexual predator
The DOJ has killed American protestors & consistently violated the constitution re: immigration
POTUS has threatened to invade NATO allies

For Congress, when is it enough to act?

8 of our 12 gold medals this year were won by women - but they are cheering for the men at the SOTU. And that’s what you need to know about this presidency

If nothing else good comes from the Epstein saga and last 9 years of politics, we can at least lay to rest any notion that just because someone is rich or in a position of power doesn't make them smart or a good person.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

I'm saddened that the people of Minneapolis are having to endure our national struggles in their city (again), but also in awe of the people in Minneapolis are leading the fight against autocracy. I hope the rest of us are as ready when our time comes.

Shut it all down. Own the shutdown. Make sure once agent gets paid. Track who funds them anyway.

"Over time, American cities have made a quiet tradeoff: In the name of safety, efficiency, and liability management, they have narrowed the conditions under which play is allowed to happen."

Great read from @strongtowns.org

Important and informative article. And a frightening time this is a consideration we must take to protect ourselves from our own government.
