In today’s episode of Centering All of Life Around Profit Hurts Disabled People. I can’t go to my local Barnes and Noble because there is nowhere to sit down in the bookstore. Imagine being able to sit down and browse through a stack of books in a bookstore. Thorn wanted to go and now I feel bad 😞

So sad.

But I have seen "walkers that have seats"

Maybe you could have your doctor write a Prescription?

You might try Posting a "SEARCHING FOR" on Facebook MarketPlace, Thrift Stores...

Hopefully, someone has one in their garage.

ALSO, ask BARNES & NOBEL if they have one, stored in back

My local B&N has a coffee shop I am not sure if it's the world's worst (Starbucks) or not but I sat there for a bit.,

It would be nice if there were places scattered about.

That is insane. Our bookstore (Indigo) has lots of seats. But they are all used by people on phones or computers.

There’s a tiny private bookshop in Axminster, Devon and we always go there when we visit. It has several chairs dotted round. Vital for me.

Yeah. Seems they took out all the comfy chairs a few years back. Mebbie to drive more sales at the coffee shop?

Sucks.

That's why I bought a walking stick that folds out into a chair. (Very odd bookshop design, though.)

I have one too and it's so nice to have at places like the aquarium.

thats genuinely wild. i remember going a few years back and they had chairs and benches at the one i went to. i wonder if it's a regional thing or the company wanting to slowly push people out from hanging around too long... either way thats no fun πŸ˜”

The one one town over just got renovated and actually does have some nice chairs dispersed throughout. It’s just a farther drive and doesn’t have nearly as good of a manga section. I prefer to go to 2nd and Charles for used manga, but they also got rid of all their chairs a couple years ago 😭
