It’s really bizarre seeing the media describe normal military stuff as “asymmetrical” and “insurgency”.

Not beating any charges of fighting the last war.

To be fair, the war is asymmetric even as it is not insurgent

There’s an asymmetry in capabilities but using SHORADs and MRBMs isn’t what people mean by asymmetric warfare. This isn’t a Vietnam era hit and run stuff.
