I've got a question that maybe your book addresses. It's clear that solar panels are already cheaper than natural gas, joule for joule. But when you add on the cost of enough batteries to make a fully-renewable grid, it's not so clear. How much will it cost to manufacture enough batteries?

And if every power grid in Earth switches to solar+wind+batteries, what does that do to the price of batteries? cheaper at first, due to economies of scale. But will we run out of affordable lithium? Im assuming LiFePOâ‚„ technology.
