I mean this is very obviously not true; off the top of my head the US extremely clearly won Gulf I, Kosovo, and the Cold War, and we're not even counting the small country wars like Grenada and Panama. And if anything, the U.S. lingers *more* on its failures than most countries.

If the US “won,” the Cold War then why is the President of the US a Russian asset?

Pretty sure the key word in this comment is "Russian" in place of "Soviet."

I am not sure if we can count the Cold war since ...there wasn't any actual conflict (hence 'cold'). Propaganda-wise the USA came out on top, absolutely. I am also a bit skeptical about Gulf1; it clearly helped Kuwait but didn't solve any root issues. Can you clarify a bit?

Wars are to achieve political goals: the political goal of Gulf1 was to achieve Kuwait independence. Goal was accomplished, relatively quickly and with low casualties? That's a win.

What happened in 2003 is someone else's fault, not because of 1991.

Iraq 2 was a walkover win as well.

It was a war between the US government and the Iraqi government and only one of those existed by the end of the year.
