No guarantees, but at least it seems they're still trying.

Yeah I was gunna say, I'm sure they want to, given that they have dubs in so many different languages that are actually really good
but they're still a small indie publisher and probably just cant afford to put it in theatres everywhere..

I feel like every other country should be holding an iconic pastry from their region, too.

I think in this case, Glitch doesn't have much power when it comes to contacting theaters in other countries. I think the theaters have to contact Glitch, but idk much about any of this

Sounds a lot like what happened with Iron Lung tbh

TBF: the best way to get other screenings is to email your local theatres. This is how theatres become aware easily of indie films/showings, and then you get the situation that Mr. Pliers had with Iron Lung.

They look up the channel, see the view count/subscribers and go β€œEVER THEATRE, NOW”

I'm just happy it's in Ak too. Normally everyone skips us.

❀️As someone in a really small country (Croatia) I'm so used to not getting anythingπŸ˜…πŸ€£, merch, events...I hope that changes in the future.

They're trying the newly seen Iron Lung method of "Manifacture international demand" and they added new theatres less than 24 hours after the announcement

I still don't like their Americacentric method, and I'm more disappointed in them not making much quality control with dubs ESPECIALLY Arabic

The America thing is probably since that’s where most of their viewers are. Especially as a small company trying not to burn money I don’t blame them for starting with their largest market. I think it’s easy to overlook they’re still a smaller company and not giant conglomerate trying to screw us.

Oh the dubs for any "unknown" country is pretty bad trust me lol

Yeah not really serious but I do love making a jab at American favoritism

For Iron Lung I understand the US first dibs release because the film was made and produced in the US. But Glitch is an Australian company if I recall. So that part doesn't make any sense.

But the new screening is in other countries in NA , so this just isn’t accurate

Contact your theaters nicely if you want a screening of TADC The Last Act.

Well, at least the screenings is in large parts of America, like Canada and Brazil and a bunch of others

But yeeeaaahh
No Norway, not even any Nordics at all :'3

I did email my local theatre, but they said they can't do one-offs for my local screen unless I want to hire it out myself, and if the Glitch want to show it in their theatres nationally they have to petition the cinema company themselves (this is PictureHouse in the UK).

I'm uneasy about it as an American because I don't want another "chicken jockey" situation

I personally don’t think we will have to worry about it. I don’t know why, but TADC fandom doesn’t seem like a group that will act Iike those who viewed the Minecraft movie.

Sadly i'll expect someone to do something so cringy again since i know how unhindge TADC fanbase can be. Just brace for it.

Damn regional favoritism! Imagine releasing your show in your own country. Downright shameful, it is.

(Ignore it's also coming out in latin America and Japan, with more to come.)

If you're gonna make fun of America, make fun of us for all the other horrible stuff we do. This was silly.

to my knowledge its moreso up to the theaters! contact your local theaters and let them know you want screenings! they have already announced more in the us due to high demand

It's true in 2026 film distribution is literally downloading to a big hard drive connected to a projector. There's no real coat hurdle to showing something internationally. So make the demand known.
0

In some countries, that has no say. It's up to the distributors what they bring to local cinemas (based on other contracts).

If it happens like Ghost's "Rite here rite now", there may be 3 single showings on the capital city and 1 or 2 more somewhere else in the country.

Tbh I don't really care that much about spoilers or whatever I just saw the opportunity to take a jab at America and bond with ppl over regional favoritism/j

It's really cool that Glitch is listening to fans + making efforts. Can't say the same for other franchises though

As a general rule, these sorts of things are about market share. Probably when looking at demographics they found that the majority of their viewership and merch sales came from the US, so to reach the highest number of people you release stuff in the US.

Thanks for noting they’re trying! They really don’t want to intentionally leave people out, I know it’s hitting a lot of them hard how angry people have been.

Are they though?

I've seen several posts floating around saying they aren't even releasing the finale in Australia, the country they are in. Also still feels like a slap in the face to all fans who have been loyal and supportive for years to be told "buy a ticket or be spoiled"

I think they just announced showings in Mexico! With smaller productions it helps to call local theaters. This is how art films used to get showings in countries outside of their origin

Oh no it's the Toby Fox discourse all over again lol

More of a role reversal, because this time Latinos were included but not Europeans. But it said in the announcement that they plan to have it happen in more countries, the current ones they announced are just the confirmed countries so far. I doubt they'd miss out on Europe.

Merch =! Digital

I'm not even siding with Toby or the people demanding added languages, and I'm BRAZILIAN, we're on the butt-end of lists about receiving any actual merch.

They actually want to release it in Australia, but Australian theaters so far aren’t working with them. Folks need to call the theaters!

Call/message your local Movie theater.

Tell them you want it, you have a voice. I did the same for iron lung and after watching it in a different city, it came to my local cinema later as well. it was an awesome feeling!!

Be the change you want to see or something like that :3

okay but I'm not going to lie I also get pissed off as an American when they do this in other countries but not in America

like if your fan base is around the globe release things around the globe.... it's not rocket science

The one exception I will make to them is it is in your home country and you want to thank everyone who got you started

that is an exception that I can understand.... though you don't need to advertise it everywhere else too

Well no it is rocket science, because so much Bullsh*t goes through the entertainment industry. Its not that easy to market your film out into all theaters globally, especially indie productions. Iron Lung was the first production (to my knowledge) that showed this being really possible and viable.

I know it’s not serious, but it’s also in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and Peru :)

Imma take this mildly serious. The only fact I know to explain why this is because Glitch productions isn't as big as other cartoon or film production companies. There's gonna be limits on what they can or cannot do.

SO IT IS UP TO US :3
