U.P.A. made shorts for by Columbia Pictures, but that didn’t mean they weren’t independent.

Studio Trigger making PASWG Season 2 for Amazon doesn’t make them not independent.

Like, this isn’t an intellectual exercise, these are questions with very clearly defined answers lol. You can find all this out yourself. The quickest way to find out if a studio is Independent or not is to look up whether or not it is a subsidiary of a larger corporate umbrella.

Most Animation Critics will say they love independent art and exclusively cover studio made art made by subsidiaries of larger corporate umbrellas. Most of them have a superficial love for the medium, and only stick around for the high of acting like they’re too smart for literal children’s movies.
