Old enough to remember when conservatives thought that unmarried 15 year olds getting pregnant was a *bad* thing (and all the fault of liberal society naturally because of ‘permissiveness’)

This is proof things can change for the better. IIRC, abortions are also down. Basically, a beneficial social change has happened, albeit ironically for conservatives. Policy challenge now is to get 20 and 30's folks married up and breeding. Good luck with that! (I have several kids btw..)

And of course a huge reason the birth rate is down is because of the staggering cost of child care. Which every woman from fortune 500 CEOs to working at Burger King says is a huge problem.

Lots of those births were with older adult men. Getting that to zero should be a societal goal. Call me crazy though.
