'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!

My apple orchard in bloom... and rusty old train tracks above it! This is my first time doing tracks on an aerial embroidery and I'm pretty happy with the effect; the flowering trees were a chore but I'm happy with them too! The last element to add is the allotment to the left 🥕🥬🌱 #landscape

My current aerial embroidery landscape in progress... a spring apple orchard closely inspired by one close to where I grew up in Devon! The area to the left will be an allotment 🥕🍅🥬 I'm so glad spring is finally here!! I went to the local pond this morning and watched the tadpoles swimming around :)

'Rose Hill garden' - I was in the mood to embroider another geometric garden and went with summer roses for this one. Colourful and bright! Combining knitting with my aerial embroidery... I knitted a base, which was then attached and sewn over to create a wild meadow 🌱🌼 the first of hopefully a series of landscape experiments using this method! I wanted to create more variety than my usual cotton bases. Zoom in to see the flowers :)

'Island Lake, California' - an aerial embroidery commission from last September I haven't shared yet! The right hand side was a nightmare at times, very busy with textures and elements and odd shapes. I hope it came out effective though? I don't have much experience in rocky landscapes :)

I re-opened and added to this spring aerial embroidery from last week... I felt it lacked details and therefore 'life'. I'm much happier with it now! In your opinions, what are the best photo-based social media alternatives to Instagram for creators, artists and/or small businesses? I feel like my Insta account is near dead so I need to be looking at other sites too outside of Meta (I'll still be on here!)

Futuristic desert cityscape or an abstract exploding clock? Or something else?? It was meant to be an experiment of the former using old clock, watch and hard drive bits I have but my parents say it looks like the latter 😅 it was curious to try a new media for aerial landscapes though! #art

My current work in progress... it'll be snowy winter landscapes for the next month or so :) I hurt my wrist and can't do tough stitches like knots but the cotton ones seem fine. For this aerial embroidery, I liked the idea of having detailed water and simple land! What do you think of this style?

This past commission of mine feels very 'wintery' to me so I wanted to share it here too - I think the brown shrubs and lighter green areas do it :) this specific aerial embroidery was of a landscape in Ireland! I enjoy how fields are organised there compared to ours!

'In the winter garden' - my favourite geometric garden aerial that I've ever done! I don't remember if I shared it here or not yet - it has camellia bushes in the centre and beds of winter heather and hellebore :) the geometric landscapes are always more challenging and I love that! #embroidery

I'm super stressed right now so here's a recent favourite landscape from a few months ago again - Dunvegan in Alberta, Canada. This aerial embroidery took forever but was worth it 💚 the higher up perspective is more intricate and slower to sew I've found, more fiddly! #art

'Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium' - another recent embroidery commission that now has its new home... doing the buildings was a challenge for me, I'm not so experienced on those. I think I got good detail in without it getting overcrowded :) overall, this aerial landscape was a good challenge!
