the nature of humans is such that everyone claims to be anti-violence, until they precieve someone as a threat to be neutralized, and suddenly violence is a valid way to neutralize them. exceptions are rare, and usually involve warrior cultures with a history of being under threat.

That's not true. Some people go around saying things like 'power grows from the barrel of a gun' or 'all law rests on implied violence.'

I mean only that it's far from "everyone."

that is the warrior culture type speak I mentioned as an exception. the opposite, as in people who wouldn't rationalize violence no matter what, is even more rare.
