Joined last year, aged 52. Never been in a political party before; now I'm helping with newsletters, leaflet deliveries and I'll be door knocking and potentially standing for my local county council in a few years time.

This article presumes you’re middle class, ore French enough, to know what β€œprix fixe” means.

Anyway I’m trying to pass a motion to stop the games industry from killing video games, so there is a guy working on anti-enshittification and I appear to be that guy.

Details on my profile, go look!

I'm 74 next week (ex Labour now Green) and everything Zack Polanski is saying is music to my socialist ears. I've waited a lifetime for it.

I do agree but am waiting to see how it evolves
Same age group as you but concerned that we had bad experiences with the last 'personality' PM so I am wary but 🀞🏼
I wanted a boring but efficient PM...They've
achieved a lot but we'd never know

Class solidarity is what's necessary now, around the world. I think that's how Mamdani won in NY and it's how you will win in the UK. Please look at what's happening in the US as a cautionary tale. Labour is slow walking you into the same fate the way Democrats did here.

Honestly at my local Green Party meeting there are far more Gen Xers and filthy evil Millennials just like me.

Cannot move for Led Zeppelin t-shirts and smashed avocado!
(Dear Internet, this is humour - everyone is welcome!)

Why are you wanting to take on Labour, you should be working with them?

We all have a responsibility to fight the fascism that is descended on the UK by Reform.

Why are you trying to split the Left vote, its a bizarre take, especially at a time like this?

You're acting like the enemy to the UK!

Not to downplay whatever you're doing but it helps that the other choices are

Racism and rich fucks (Tories)
Racism and rich fucks but lying about it (Labour)
ULTRA Racism and rich fucks who hate absolutely *everyone* (Reform UK).

TERF ISLAND needs an incredible amount of elbow grease to fix

@zackpolanski.bsky.social Hi Zack … I do really want to sign up to the Green Party but I’d like to hear a bit more first about the other policies you plan not just taxing billionaires. For example I’d really like to hear the party’s plan for Education. Can we hear some more of the bold ideas?

It's not just the young 'uns joining. I'm 61 and have joined The Greens this week after over 20 years in the Labour Party. The Greens are the only party offering hope on the left of politics under @zackpolanski.bsky.social

Greens should support banning X and boycotting X.

I don't why but it seems labour party is making bigger noise than Greens on banning X. you and your party are too quiet too inactive. that's sad...

It's another smear, albeit a more subtle one.

Media outlets work tirelessly to breed contempt for young people, so of course anything they like must be terrible, including politics.

Seem like every year there's a new 'avocado toast' style narrative πŸ™„

It is just as hard for us to argue with the city as for Iranians to argue with the ayatollahs. Harder in fact.
But an economy based on expanding consumption in a finite world is doomed.
Iran has crashed. Our turn is coming unless we stop worshipping the city gods

Hi, I'm over 70 and I came to the Greens in 2003 when Labour introduced Tuition Fees. I've served as a Green Councillor on two councils and for a year was a town mayor. I've longed for many years the policies today #ZackPolanski is putting forward. Our country really needs to stand up for the 99%.

Surely if the Greens were to stand up for the 99% they would win any election at a canter and form the government

I miss the tree huggers, they were honest and sincere.
The new greens (marxists) are the opposite, plus the environment is an afterthought they pay a courtesy to, now N again.

Land reform. About 0.5% of the population (aristocracy and landed gentry) own about 30% of UK land.

Mostly not acquired by hard work - more likely either given to ancestors by a medieval king, or bought with profits of the "Triangle Trade".
