Immigration is good. Good for us, good for the immigrant.

Allowing immigration is not a nice thing we do for immigrants. It is merely ceasing to do a bad thing to immigrants.

My country heavily depended on immigrants from all over Europe for its heavy industries and coal mines from the early 1910’s until the late 1970’s. So yes.

And I simply wouldn’t be here if a specific Polish and a specific Spanish family had been prevented from moving to Belgium.

And our country as a whole - in every way. Plus, they make the best citizens too. I imagine a majority of natural born citizens wouldn't be allowed to immigrate to the US - nor should they.

Yes, I am a globalist. Yes, I donate to the lifeboats. People don’t just risk their lives on my coast for the fun of it, in fact, they often HAVE TO enter the country illegally to seek asylum because we are so strict with our visas. A lot of folks don’t like hearing that part.

It's also a very nice thing we do for basically our entire economy.

The birthright citizenship case isn't even really about immigration. It's about giving the government a way to deny rights to anyone deemed undesirable.

If you can't prove that your parents were citizens *while you're in a holding cell*, you're only a citizen until the government decides that's inconvenient.
