On X/bsky @AricToler (NYT) reports that the Annunciation shooter in Minneapolis had originally extensively planned to attack trans women at an underground trans music venue. However, in his NYT piece published Aug 30th, this important detail is entirely absent. (1/5)🧡

NYT needs to stick to what they are good at: Celebrating rich people and their opinions with articles about their lavish weddings, not their bad opinions

I cannot overstate how extensive this plan to attack trans people was. In a translation of the manifesto, the shooter plans and fantasizes about killing trans people at three different trans venues, for over 60+ pages. Annunciation was initially the backup/secondary location. (2/5)

The shooter even made a map of the originally targeted trans venue in a game (Garry's Mod), to virtually practice. This initial plan was scrapped around early July, because there would be "too few people". The shooter became fixated on achieving a higher body count. (3/5)

This is a little bit of a tangent. But one thing I've been thinking about is like, instances where online communities have encouraged this type of thing (lolcow type stuff)
Have we seen/found any evidence of that?
