A new one almost certainly wouldn't get done on his watch even if he serves both terms. It seems like the last new nuclear power plant built in the U.S. took 23 years of work and was completed...in the 1990s.

That must be outdated information as the most recent reactor started up in April of 2024. (Never trust Wikipedia)

But it did take a long time due to the fact we need a regulatory overhaul and streamlining.
