So, does that mean they donโ€™t easily run on Steam Deck?

If they're anything like Dino Crisis was, you're gonna have to jump through a ton of hoops to get it to even run, and even then it won't run right. I wound up refunding DC 1+2, not gonna touch these on Steam til they pull the DRM.

Just the other day I was looking at every single modern RE sitting in my Steam library, rubbing this monkey's paw, thinking, "Wouldn't it be great if the OG REs ended up on here, too, so these remakes aren't all so lonely"

Thought that thing was busted, I am so sorry

I'm telling you all this for your own good.

If anyone really wants these games, buy them on GOG.

They're DRM-free, and I think all four of these games are on the GOG Perservation Project.

Why is enigma DRM on games over 20+ years old

Even if you want to play these on Steam Deck there's like, several other ways to go about doing this. Sideloading an emulator is one, but you could also sideload something like Heroic Launcher to install the GoG releases and run those through Steam. Don't support this DRM bullshite.

Seemed like they would be an easier option to play on steamdeck but, freaking Enigma DRM? No thanks, GOG will remain the only option.

Thankfully if you have a perfectly legal backup file, alternatives exist for achievements. retroachievements.org/game/29328
