Somewhat; but I do believe people should have minimal critical thinking capability to investigate shit for themselves.
I mean it's fucking 2026, motherfucker can't spend literally 2 minutes googling?
There is chosen stupidity and there is that embedded in innocent ignorance.

There's been decades of "more powerful graphics = better gaming" drilling itself into people's brains
Nobody googles anything about it because it's as obvious as breathing
Some were born into this framework

For comparison, tobacco adverts had to have legal action to stop targeting them at kids
