Irving Park and Avondale are fantastic for food, not super sure about shopping though but good busses and train access, and plenty quiet~

I really like west Edgewater and Milwaukee ave for all the cute little shops. I think I'm going to try for a place closer to west Edgewater in a year.

Hell yeah that area seems pretty nice but I haven't gotten out terribly much ;p
