Indeed. It's quite one thing rescuing UK holiday makers trapped in a war zone but quite another rescuing expats who went their to avoid having to pay tax.

So true we were talking about this yesterday. I’m sure the majority work there for tax purposes , so why shouldn’t they pay UK for their return if they have to be flown back ?
