I thought about it, but I just can't bare the thought of migrating 90 devices to have it behave the same.

I'm going to try moving (at least my lights) back to Philips Hue. Once that is done, I might move the sensors and battery things over to Zibee2mqtt and banish ZHA forever.

I'm using HA + zigbee2mqtt for about 50 devices. I don't face your same problem at all. I remember I tried ZHA too at the beginning and it was not usable...

Agreed that migration is pain. I have migrated once before without re-pairing but it was dainty work.

FWIW zigbee2mqtt and the $35CAD Sonoff USB coordinator are pretty solid here. (Three separate systems at three locations)
