a week ago i was drugged again at a bar. the man who dosed me circled back twice trying to pick me up. it was a queer event. he was a chaser.

this time i was with friends i knew well, identified the signs, & they got me the fuck out of there to sober up somewhere safe. i threw up for hours.

almost every woman you know has stories like this or far worse. it is not rare. it is not one off events from men who are fringe bad actors.

it is endemic behavior encouraged by patriarchy. it is rape culture.

misogyny is a pestilence that must be eradicated from society.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. You're correct. We all have stories...20 yrs ago I was roofied & thankfully my group of friends showed up right before I went down. Many other non roofied stories as well.

God fucking damnit!
Glad you got out relatively safe

This shit will only ever stop when us men are not coddled anymore and some REAL fucking consequences get dropped down like a brick house

In same vein I was thinking today about the Christine Ford testimony and how we watched in real time a Senate committee go from trying to be respectful of SA survivors to abandoning that for political expediency

Very glad the signs were identified. This shit is so scary that I mostly just avoid t he places altogether. Every single time I've gone out with friends there'd be some guy stalking at the edges that my hypervigilance picked up so I'd never be comfortable.
