For actual watching live, MidnightSumo on twitch does good commentary and replaces all the repetitive Abema ads with fun random commercials from around the world without pirating from NHK

Also because MidnightSumo uses Abema you can actually watch the entire tournament including the lower divisions that NHK doesn't cover, with commentary from former rikishi/yokozuna like Wakanohana Masaru in the upper divisions. (We only get Uncle Waka on the weekends but he's always a treat.)

if you can stand being a day late on the action, NHK uploads the highlights (which is still footage of every single top-division bout) each day to their site, with English commentary. www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/tv/sumo/
