This is probably how anarchists felt in 1920s / 1930s Germany when looking at the Social Democrats in the Weimar Republic. Very reminiscent of it I think.

If you look at the end of WWI you’ll also see the problem of the statist strategy too. The social revolution popping off there at the end of the war saw statists sideline the worker councils in their effort to build a state. I think WorkingClassHistory did a good article about it too
