I hate that I relate.

But I love that I laughed.

This is a comic about Dan Brown books.

The internet is full of The Haters, and I find them deeply weird - to draw strength from your dislikes seems to me to make life unnecessarily more depressing (which life has more enough ways to achieve without help)

It is weird but true that we can get more "enjoyment" from bad movies/TV shows/etc. because they are for some reason more fun to talk about with our friends.

I guess there's only so much you can say about something that is very good, but you can really dig deep when something is just awful.

Did you read the book before the comic came out?

I always love your work, but there is something especially brilliant about this one.

I love this (and even wrote a song on the subject "We hate the same way" youtube.com/shorts/pITPKDN5LII?feature=share)

Good and healthy response to media, actually. Builds critical thinking skills and camaraderie.

The other day:

"That Bridgerton series sucks and it's not faithful to the books."

Me: "are the books good, then?"

"No, they suck too"

I wonder how many downvotes you could get for this on Reddit 🤔

I hate this!

Thank you, though - it's very good...

... for something that sucks!
