The new Immolation album is exactly what I anticipated. And you know what? GOOD. Track to track, riff to riff, I was pummeled by infernal blasts and diabolical grooves. Bob Vigna remains one of death metal's best riffcrafters. Immolation have displayed, AGAIN, they're one of the best to ever do it.

Ooooh yeah I'll hafta check out the new Archspire! But I couldn't recommend the new Immolation more! Nearly 40 years later and they're still in peak form~ What a fuckin' run <3

Over the last handful of years, Immolation has quickly been rising up my favorite bands list. I honestly think they may be a top 10 all time for me, at this point. They just don't miss, ever.

Immolation are easily a top 10 all time band for me. Ever since I first heard Close to a World Below some 15 or 16 years ago, I've been in love. They may hold the title of most consistently great death metal band, and really one of the most consistently great metal bands, period. No bad albums ever!
