I once had a neighbor who named her Afghan hound "Rhiannon," and she'd sing-call it at least 5 or 6 times a day. (The song had just come out; between heavy radio rotation & the dog, I got sick of it pretty quickly.)

Best dog naming advice I've ever seen.

People that have never stood at their back door and yelled their dogs name over and over again have no idea how important this is.
