I mean sure, CG is cost effective but for a series like Ghost in the Shell, it needs that Star Wars The Clone Wars spinoff money/ production value of being nearly theatrical grade.

the real question is which is worse, the American live action version or the CGI series? I think the American remake was worse lol

I mean no duh, that's the film that failed so badly at fan service that it confirmed the white washing even if the production value/ vfx looks great.
