Certain threads of power benefit from us not learning, and therefore work against us learning in order to perpetuate themselves.

These threads are almost uniformly rich and right wing.

and they've been frankly open about destroying education for literally DECADES, they haven't bothered to hide it, they haven't bothered to deny it - did people think that wouldn't result in, yk, an uneducated easily led populace??
