Tactics vs strategy. I understood your point to be that Trump operates chaotically and lacks a grand strategy. If so, I agree. But are you arguing that Trump doesn’t engage in tactical manipulation? He does.

You contend it is dangerous to assign coherence to Trump. I agree.

But it is equally dangerous to assume he is incapable of manipulation and other actions in service to his goal which is self aggrandizement. Such an assumption would render him a foolish blip in time.
