Introduction post! I am Thomas Carpentier, I studied (and plan to continue) History of space in Toulouse, France. 🔭

My main contribution here is the data processing of space telescopes observations! Here are some examples and more on my Flickr page: www.flickr.com/people/197464132 href="/profile/N05/">@N05/

I always enjoy what you share here on bluesky but we're not friends yet, I tried twice to send you a friend request but it's not going through, so I'll be glad If you could just Tap into my profile to add me as a friend on here, if that won't bother you..

Welcome to Blue Sky, Thomas!

You may consider me a fellow 'Space Cadet'; I take being called that as a compliment😉

Check out my pinned tweet (one of the happiest days of my life, meeting Neil Armstrong), and profile banner picture (left portion), as I proudly stand with 6 Apollo moonwalkers

What software do you use to process this images..and do they share the raw images where you grab them, just curious?

Very cool. Is the raw telescope data available to the public and individuals can process it themselves? How does it work?

Yeah the data are public, so you can hop on the MAST site and download them there.

It would long to explain how they are made via skeets, but you can read this article that explains it in details: webbtelescope.org/contents/articles/how-are-webbs-full-color-images-made

Les télescopes spatiaux font un très bon travail déjà à la base ! Je ne fais qu'embellir autant que possible ces observations (et j'ai encore plein de choses à apprendre !)
