If this system cannot bring rapists to court, can no longer conduct fair elections (as has been going on for decades), and allows those in power to trade on insider info without penalty, just maybe it needs a full remodel.

It certainly does. But unfortunately those in power will never let that happen. They recive way to many benefits keeping the system broken. Ive said it before and will most likely say it again many times, If you seek power you dont deserve it. We put politicians in power because they want it.

Part II

Advertising & media love the current system. Lucrative with copy written for free. The elected love
It. Itโ€™s a job for life as mentioned. Many legislators have grown rich by constructing their dynasties w only token oversight. And a pension
w healthcare! Biggly motivation to leave as is.

Agree and agree.

For me it comes down to a deeply flawed system, not what the founders foresaw.

Now even minor positions cost millions in marketing. We know what that means. Higher positions require more, but the payoff is, usually, a job for as long as wanted with opportunities to get rich.

They spend billions each election cycle trying to convince us that they are better in some way over their opponent. Where if they truly deserved th the position there character and work they have done should be enough to tell the population if they deserve to get elected.
