I would never do that to my microwave.

People fall down. We can kick them, or we can seek to understand them and try to lift them back up. Unless the intent is cruelty, I rather not judge so harshly as to deny someone redemption. Art is the mirror, not the subject. It’s no longer yours when given.

That said, boycotting is a choice based on moral boundaries, and those also move. If you turned into an asshole, I wouldn’t condemn your contributions of the past. I’d seek to understand your journey. Sometimes grace is humanity, and an opportunity, to improve us all. But I can condemn your actions.
