I know it's not ex cathedra and they'll never give up Joan of Arc but it's sure .... something. What an incredible thing to say as Pope.

I could respect Francis even when I didn't agree with him; I think he found a worthy (& possibly wiser) successor in Leo.

Liberation theology is a logical extension of the Gospels & we're finally seeing it applied. I think that's why it feels better to us - it's more congruent w/Jesus' teachings.
