I can’t imagine not being friends with someone over ChatGP, especially if I considered them to be “such a good friend”. I’m shallow but not that shallow

When you're a creative, seeing your friends use GenAI is extra insulting. That thing is trained off our work and is destroying our lifelihoods left and right. It's not shallow to stop being friends when someone who doesn't respect your path in life.

It is also possible to convince your friend to not use genAI, that way there's one less genAI user and you get to keep your friend, it's a win-win all around
