you don’t get any points for figuring out Substack is a scam in 2026. literally the first thing I heard about the platform, ever, was that it was hardwired to direct traffic and funding to far right sources. this was known from the jump, and if a shrimp like me knew that, no one else has any excuse.

So many folks were also part of the "I'll use their own platform against them" group without even stopping to think that's now how it works. If somebody shoots me a URL to their substack it's a guarantee that I'll never click on it.
