I said media organizations because I'm still ticked off at certain newspapers omitting certain things but this also applies to politicians.

I truly do not think it's that difficult to anticipate how Bluesky will react to milquetoastiness and yet my milk keeps getting toast in it.

They will happily tailor their message to avoid pileons from fascists on twitter but won’t do the same on bluesky and that says more about them than it does about bluesky.

Part of the problem is that the people who most need to hear that truth will immediately turn off any media that pushes that truth too hard.

Unfortunately, the purpose of journalism is to advance the interests of whoever controls the publishing platform (e.g. Murdoch and Bezos et al).

Always has been, always will be.

The “journalism is a noble crusade for the truth!” stuff is almost entirely manufactured and self-serving mythology.
