I said media organizations because I'm still ticked off at certain newspapers omitting certain things but this also applies to politicians.

I truly do not think it's that difficult to anticipate how Bluesky will react to milquetoastiness and yet my milk keeps getting toast in it.

The issue isnt that they don’t realize. Its that they don’t care.

IDK why people who unironically call themselves "centrist" get mad when they burn-up on re-entry to Bsky, annihilated by the general defence grid of people who know that "centrist" is a red-flag.

Furthermore I don't understand why talking heads bemoan the auto-destruction of these most pathetic types. We are missing nothing from their absence.

They will happily tailor their message to avoid pileons from fascists on twitter but won’t do the same on bluesky and that says more about them than it does about bluesky.

In the name of certain papers trying to both sides every issue and omit crucial details that would clearly indicate one side over the other:

Part of the problem is that the people who most need to hear that truth will immediately turn off any media that pushes that truth too hard.

Unfortunately, the purpose of journalism is to advance the interests of whoever controls the publishing platform (e.g. Murdoch and Bezos et al).

Always has been, always will be.

The “journalism is a noble crusade for the truth!” stuff is almost entirely manufactured and self-serving mythology.

I guess they don’t care about us, still. that, or, thanks to the bubble they’re in, would sooner ask themselves what would tick us off the most, speaking ‘truth’ to those who think need to hear it, and in so doing gain plaudits from a nonexistent ‘reasonable’ fringe, or from a right that hates them
