Truthfully I have not been keeping up with the cost of oil changes because for the cars I have which need them I'll do it myself but I will say at least in the past oil changes were pretty cheap at places like Midas.

And honestly a place like Jiffy Lube is fine. Gearheads are too mean about them.

The only time I've had a drain plug get cross-threaded I did it myself 😩

Oh, yeah. It was $12 at the mechanic near me growing up. Now there's all these quick lube places around that want like $70-$80. It's a big reason I keep putting it off. There's inflation, sure. But this isn't that.

I should also add that I drive a little Hyundai Accent. It's not some huge tank I have to maintain.
