I tried using good old Google Search to find a public domain specification for a piece of hardware, and it INSISTED that there was no specification. It seemed that the actual search results reflected. There was no actual search. Eventually I found it in the document I was looking for.

Google used to be pretty good at actually finding things inside documents when the wording was too arbitrary for basic search terms. Now it seems that AI has dumbed it down to the level of laziness that other researchers have themselves stooped to.

Funny thing, if you add swear words to a random search (instead of biscuits try fuck biscuits) the search engine sometimes stops including AI cause they don't like swears lol
