whoever is making these videos needs to learn filmmaking 101 that jump cuts look really amateur when they’re used excessively

like why, exactly, are we focusing on kristyn anderson’s lower legs and feet as she walks into a room? it’s so cheap looking for an official city video

Ah yes, I remember the MPD lining up for mutual aid and defending neighbors. That totally happened.

Multiple mid-sentence jump cuts is some "What's up guys welcome to my youtube channel" energy

I mean, showing us images that are actually vertical in nature is, at least, an improvement over the Strib's vertical video of councilmembers saying things to each other across a horizontal dais.

jump cut-heavy video with too-loud background music is very Youtube/TikTok, like I don't think people under 30 accept that 87 cuts in a 2 second video is wrong/bad. That said, it is a fact, universally acknowledged, that a local government in need of a video will not pay enough for anyone quality

Cutting to the shot of her feet is done to emphasize that when she says "all of us came together and did whatever we could," she means that the best Jacob Frey's government could do was walk around their offices aimlessly.
Also, cops opening hatchbacks in slow motion –THAT'S how we beat ICE!

it’s definitely the editing style that keeps the youth away from watching city of minneapolis videos alone
