Gaaaahhhhh I want to drive south until I hit Morels but now I’m mobility limited so hiking solo is probably a no go which suuuuuckks! We have a bit till they are up here but i still plan on going out looking. Somehow. I’ll find a way!

Gosh, reminds me when my dad in the 70's found a nice grouping of morels to pick. Was so proud he took pictures and sent to his older brother in Germany. Wish I could find that old picture.

We used to dry those out and then soak them in cognac (usually Courvoisier) when it was time to cook them up. Yum!

We used to go hunting them--taking just a few from each spot. Fried morels are the most incredible treat.
