โ€œJonathan Caravello, 38, faced up to 20 years in prison if he was convicted of the charge. The verdict is the latest blow to the Trump administration, which has thrown baseless assault charges at people who protest its mass deportation operations โ€” but has repeatedly failed to secure convictions.โ€

Congratulations on being acquitted Jonathan. Trump has weaponized the DOJ but so far many judges and juries have resisted the pressure. This song/slideshow calls attention to the courage it takes to speak the truth. Please pass it on. Every movement needs music.

Reports say the jury deliberated for 2 hours. Thatโ€™s about and hour waiting for the bailiff to escort them in and out, and then 45 minutes of juror icebreakers, introducing themselves and stuff, before quickly panning the charges.

losing a case with completely fabricated charges isnt the blow people think it is. the fact that they can initiate court cases against protestors & dissenters asking for harsh sentences based on completely fabricated charges is a huge win for them if even 1 out of 20 faces any punishment

The point is that they can & will charge anyone with trumped-up nonsense that should be laughed out of court, but all they need is one friendly judge, one friendly jury willing to find ppl guilty for "terrorism" when theyre not guilty of the actual crimes, to have the chilling effect they desire

Itโ€™s not a loss. The Feds got what they wanted: tormenting an innocent man is the point. Chilling dissent is the point.

Imprisoning him would have just been icing on the cake.

LOL...

"When U.S. District Judge Cynthia Valanzuela asked the potential jurors if any of them had opinions of Border Patrol, the Department of Homeland Security, or the federal government that would prevent them from being an impartial juror, at least 10 voiced concerns."
