If you really know you’re doing the right thing then don’t waste time arguing with me. Like I said, I can imagine scenarios where this would need to happen. I have just never seen it irl where I thought a grandparent filing a contested g. Pet. was doing anything but making the situation more toxic.

Just the fact you’re here on the internet arguing with some rando about it makes me think you should introspect a bit more. You don’t need my approval. You need the approval of your conscience, and the Courts.

Maybe you introspect and see it’s really the right thing to do. Idk. I’m not you.

But be sure because you’ll damage permanently and probably irrevocably your relationship with your child, and any chance you might have had to continue to guide them in life. You lose all trust and credibility.

And if you lose in the courts you likely will never see your kid or grandkid again.
