Literally a message I wanna spread with this character of mine, for her first game. At first most see her as a "dorky little girl in a woman's body", she's timid at first but gets annoyed and shows she's still a mature woman despite her demeaner.

"Getting older is mandatory. Growing up is optional"
Never too old to enjoy things you liked in your childhood.

I have 2 stuffed toys that I bring with me almost every day to class.

I'm a 3rd-year undergraduate.

And I'm happy 😊

I remember going to my library when I was 15 and hesitantly asking the librarian if I could be allowed into the children's section to get just one book.
Her face instantly lit up and she said that if everyone were willing to take up a children's book once in a while society would be so much better!

Hugging my Undyne or my Toriel plush makes me feel good in a shitty world. I’m 51 and don’t give a toss who thinks that’s wrong.

It’s not wrong. Fuck anyone who thinks that x

as a kid, you dream of being an adult because they have so much freedom

as a teenager you want to "fit in" and shun all that "kid stuff"

as a young adult you realise you don't know jack and curse your teenage self

as a full adult, you either rediscover your inner child or grow old and miserable

Ngl, for some reason my brain thought you were talking about Nurse Joy from Pokémon and it only clicked it was just actual Joy halfway through lol. I agree though, do what makes you happy. It’s always unhappy miserable people trying to make you feel bad about what you enjoy. Let yourself be happy ^^

Watched a video that said: "don't act this way past 16, there's a moment where just have to act like an adult." in reference to the "quirky chungus" meme.
Couldn't help to think, what is an adult? Can't I just be me throughout my life? I'm going to change, I'm going to enjoy life now.

Dragons, and lots of them.

There’s a Loona hellhound pin stuck to the big hat I wear everywhere.

If you make time for happiness you’ll have it always.

This is so true though. In a world that seems so devoid of joy now we all deserve to enjoy the little things that do. The truth is that adults aren't actually grown up, we just pretend like we are.

My desk is the way it is because of exactly this ^^^^^^^^

Love purples, dragons, playing cards, and it just brings some joy to have fun colors around, doesn't mean I can't be professional, just means I enjoy fun

Seems like many of those from the thumpers, particularly the verse talking about putting things away when growing up.

That I remember from watching the movie Hackers so many times.

I'm 24 years old, watching a cartoon and building Legos while eating gummy candy, because my job is exhausting and being an adult is exhausting

Dad never understood me never giving up my childhood things. Not in a malicious way, just that he grew up differently than me and learned life differently.

Why lion can still play like a cub in the time he has left.
Yes he still uses his costumes ,furry and otherwise, Plays with pooltoys and generally has fun.

Lion also has a bed and lounge covered in Plushies and will visit a kids playground sometime too. He is under the weight limit for most of the equipment. :)

Pretty sure the vast majority of the people in my local EGL/Lolita fashion group are older than me and I'm 31. They are absolutely vibing in their outfits.

I'm a 25 year old woman who likes to sleep with a plush axolotl every night. I can't sleep without it anymore.

"Where do you find joy for it?"

And idk the minis were neat lol

You shouldn’t have to explain why you find joy in something. If it makes you happy it’s worth it x

Cartoon animals are my life, I'm not dropping them even though I'm nearly 40.

Adulthood is not needing to buy a plush animal because your mother (who you still live with because living alone is too expensive and living with housemates is scary) adopted a real animal who sleeps in your bed.
