Ended up in the street outside the school with hundreds of terrified parents while the cops swept the school looking for the kid with the gun. (He'd brandished it, threatened someone during lunch.) Nice quiet suburb, BTW. It turned out ok but I am still sick thinking about it and worrying about her.
