awesome. but you have Republicans in control of the levers to reconvene. and Mike Johnson has always treated his power to call the house intercession, exactly as if Tyrant had dissolved the duma/congress/parlment

i’m curious, what’s your motivation here? i’ve never understood why some people (a lot, it seems) get on social media just to argue against people asking their congressional reps to do something. i assume Markey isn’t paying you to make these excuses. so what do you get out of it?

sometimes when people tell you you ought to do that windmill! and if you don't tilt that way you're not trying at all.. there might be wrong. these times require action. but they don't require action that Mike Johnson can push back for 6 months. unless you think you can get him to get off his knees

okay so I will answer this question anyway avoiding the reactionary response. as somebody was politically active from the 1960s until now.. people who point you this way and that way with experience in politics. sometimes know what they're saying

excellent question. so what does a person get out of pursuing effective responses to situations even if they don't personally benefit themselves in the traditional dollar and cents ways? (I know it would be Petty to say that I have actually asked the representatives to do things, but continue)

Thank you, I also have attended a civics class. The point is both practical and comms. 1: they need to be present physically should Johnson agree to reconvene so they *can* act quickly, if they get the chance and 2: it is a massive messaging failure to be giving low information voters (1/2)

the impression that there is anything in the world more important going on right now. Low info voters are not understanding the urgency because Congress is not conveying it!! Cheerful posts about the bike path completely undermine how dangerous this moment is. GO BACK TO WORK! (2/2)

Also like this is basic game theory. Them being physically present in DC makes more potential options available at very little cost and is thus the correct move.
