I spent a lot of energy on giving her the benefit of the doubt, and at this point I truly cannot tell you why. every time I thought "well the internet loves its punching bags, maybe it's just mob mentality", she proved me wrong.

@ryanlcooper.com has lots of thoughts here though may be justifiably exhausted from sharing them.

I think she had a useful perspective on things once upon a time, one much closer to the average non-politics-brained Internet user. But maybe that was a result of having good editors, because she's just gotten worse and worse since going independent.

Basically the reason she used an editor on the most serious stuff, I think, because making those types of mistakes on the most serious issues is where you'll get clapped back at and sued.

The thing is she seems to hyperfixate on searching for as many pieces of evidence to find around the point she's covering but in doing so doesn't catch the other perspectives on issues nearly as well as when she has an editor. It's just harder to reflect on bias without an editor.

So far as I can tell she did the one good thing of exposing the asshole behind Libs of Tik Tok. Nearly everything else I’ve seen has been histrionic, pseudoscience, Covid dooming etc.
