Good morning. This is my fear as well. Someone suggested an animated video on YT about how the petrodollar came to be, and how it's destruction will destroy the economy. Ppl think gas prices are high now? To coin an old phrase - They ain't seen nothing yet.

The US broke the Soviet Union by engaging it in an arms race that collapsed its economy.
Putin placed the perfect stooge/agent into the White House to bankrupt the US.
As you say, an Iran war was always going to be a money-pit for the attacker.

Watched a video, which seemed legit, which basically said the US was fast running out of munitions which cannot be replaced quickly and therefore needed to stop the offensive. I'm no expert, but sounds plausible.
